David played in the 138th Open Championship over the stunning Ailsa Course at Turnberry in Scotland. David shot rounds of 68, 73, 72 and 76 leaving him on a total of 289 and in a tie for 52nd position.

American Stewart Cink was crowned Open Champion after a four hole play-off with 59 year old legend Tom Watson, both had finished at two under par after four rounds of regulation play.

David now takes a week off and his next event is the Moravia Silesia Open in the Czech Republic beginning on 30th July.
