David played in The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Kingsbarns, Carnoustie and St Andrews. On day one he shot 77 at Carnoustie, day two 68 at St Andrews and on day three 70 at Kingsbarns. This gave David a three round total of one under par with the cut falling at four under.

His Pro-am partner for the three days was actor Hugh Grant and they finished at thirteen under par, the cut falling at twenty one under.

David now travels to Spain to play in the Madrid Masters which begins on Thursday.
