David played in the Celtic Manor Wales Open near Newport in Gwent this week, over the 2010 course, the venue for the Ryder Cup later this year.

He put together rounds of 76 and 74 giving him an eight over par total of 150, missing the halfway cut which fell at three over par. Graeme McDowell won the event on fifteen under par after a sizzling 63 in the final round.
